Check in to Manchester City vs Chelsea

Man City have set their sights on Roma youngster Erik Lamela according to the Daily Express.

fanatix tickets – Manchester City vs Chelsea tickets are on sale from £48 for the match on February 24th at the Etihad Stadium.

Roberto Mancini had been in attendance at a recent Serie A fixture between his former side Sampdoria and Roma and as well as taking a closer look at long term target Lamela the Man City boss was also full of praise for young striker Mauro Icardi.

20 year old Argentine Lamela is in fine form this term, scoring 11 Serie A goals in 19 appearances.

The Stadio Olimpico side are apparently ready to listen to offers for the former River Plate man, but only on offers over £17m, a price that Man City can clearly afford.

It appears that there may be a fair few changes at Man City this summer with this source claiming that eleven players may be on their way as Mancini looks to shuffle his pack.

Names on the list of expected departures include striker Edin Dzeko and Carlos Tevez and given that Mario Balotelli already left for AC Milan one can imagine that Roberto Mancini is very keen to freshen up his attack and Lamela may well be tempted by a move to a side that offer him the chance to challenge for major honours.

Icardi Chelsea

Mauro Icardi has made a real impact at Sampdoria this season, having moved to the Genoa based side after failing to make the grade at Barcelona.

The Argentine grabbed an excellent brace away at champions elect Juventus and then racked up four goals against lowly Pescara and scored in Sampdoria’s 3-1 win over Roma on the weekend.
