Old Trafford target not wanted by Bavarian giants.
Check in to Manchester United vs Reading
Bayern Munich have opted against pursuing Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski according to Goal.com.
fanatix tickets- Sunderland vs Manchester United tickets are on sale from £27 for the match on March 30th at the Stadium of Light.
The decision by the Bavarian side to not follow up their interest in the 24 year old Bundesliga goal machine leaves Man United a free run at the powerful Polish international.
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has denied reports that his side are close to securing a deal to sign the striker, stating
“I’m totally relaxed about the Lewandowski rumours,”
“Bayern are not planning to hold negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Lewandowski.”
Lewandowski’s current contract ends in the summer of 2014.
Man United’s interest in Lewandowski could presumably only be relevant if one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s four current striking options were to leave and of the four; Robin Van Persie, Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney, it is perhaps Chicharito who could look to leave to secure regular first team football.
Robert Lewandowski scored 30 goals last term to help his side to a domestic double and the big forward already has netted 20 goals in all competitions.
