Nou Camp star wants his side to sign Emirates Stadium youngster.
Barcelona have seemingly begun the process of ‘tapping-up’ another Arsenal star. Brazilian right-back Dani Alves has ‘encouraged’ his Nou Camp side to sign young England international Jack Wilshere according to the Daily Telegraph.
fanatix tickets – El Clasico tickets are still available for the biggest derby match in Europe.
Real Madrid vs Barcelona tickets are on sale for this massive La Liga clash at the Bernabeau on March 3rd.
The 29 year old wide-man was apparently very impressed with Wilshere’s display during England’s win over Brazil earlier in the month and is clearly a big admirer of the tigerish midfielder.
“He is a great player who we have met playing against Arsenal and without doubt he can reach the height of the players we have here at Barcelona like Xavi and Iniesta,” Alves said.
“He has a lot of quality and a great personality. If I was given the chance to choose, he is a player that I would sign for Barcelona.”
Luckily for the Gunners Wilshere signed a contract extension that ties him to the North London club until 2018 and given that a number of previous Arsenal players have made the move to Barcelona one would imagine that some fans of the Emirates Stadium side would be concerned if the Catalan giants set their sights on Wilshere.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song, Alexander Hleb and Thierry Henry have made a move from Arsenal to the La Liga side in recent seasons but it seems highly unlikely that Wilshere would entertain the notion of leaving the Premier League side any time soon.
