Edin Dzeko wants to leave the Etihad Stadium for Germany switch.
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is ready to take a pay cut in order to secure a move back to the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.
Dzeko is understood to be one of the big names leaving the Etihad Stadium in the summer as part of a clear-out following a dismal season in defence of their Premier League title.
fanatix tickets – Manchester City vs Chelsea tickets are on sale from £48 for the match on February 24th at the Etihad Stadium.
The Bosnian international has had to make do with a super sub role this season with a vast chunk of his appearances coming from the bench and he is understood to be keen on moving back to the Bundesliga where he made his name with Wolfsburg.
Borussia Dortmund, who like City are the current reigning title holders, are on the lookout for a new targetman striker to sign in the summer with Robert Lewandowski set to leave the club for either Bayern Munich or Manchester United.
And, according to The Sun, Borussia Dortmund are to secure a £20million deal to capture Dzeko, who would follow Mario Balotelli through the exit door with the Italian having joined AC Milan in the January transfer window.
Dzeko is set to take a pay cut to ensure that the deal goes through with his Manchester City salary pricing him out of Borussia Dortmund’s much more modest wage structure.
