Emirates Stadium side line up move for no nonsense centre-back.
Arsenal are reportedly readying a £10m bid for French international Adil Rami according to the Daily Express.
The experienced Valencia centre-back is said to be available at a knockdown price and Arsene Wenger is set to make a move for the long term target.
This source claims that Wenger failed with a previous bid of £17m for the 27 year old but may not land the no nonsense defender for a far cheaper price.
The former Lille man is into his second season at the Mestalla side who are struggling financially though sitting relatively comfortably in fifth place in La Liga.
Wenger may be keen to add to a defence that has not looked at all solid this season with the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Thomas Vermaelen, and to a lesser extent, Per Mertesacker have struggled for form.
Rami spent five years at Lille prior to his move to Valencia and during his time in the French top tier the Corsican won a Ligue 1 title and also has 25 international caps to his name.
