Emmanuel Adebayor’s days at White Hart Lane appear to be numbered.

Emmanuel Adebayor is set to leave Tottenham in the summer with the White Hart Lane club ready to listen to offers for the striker.

The 29-year-old completed a permanent move to Tottenham in the summer having spent last season on loan at the north London club from Manchester City, but he is set to be offloaded to help fund manager Andre Villas-Boas’ transfer activity.

Adebayor has been in and out of the Tottenham team this season, although has played a more prominent role recently since returning from international duty at the African Cup of Nations with Togo.

Villas-Boas is targeting a double swoop in the summer for Brazilian international Leandro Damiao of Internacional, who he has twice failed with bids for, and Braga’s Portuguese forward Eder, who he worked with at Academia previously.

And former Arsenal forward Adebayor is set to be the fall guy and sold in the summer having found the net only three times in 22 appearances in a Tottenham shirt this season.

With Jermain Defoe out injured and no other strikers available to him, Villas-Boas was understood to be displeased when Adebayor went off on international duty with Togo and that could have sealed his exit from White Hart Lane, according to the Evening Standard.
