Jol has already stated publicly that he is interested in making Frimpong’s loan move a permanent one despite the fact that the 21 year old has managed just 90 minutes of Premier League football for the West London side thus far.
Jol stated that he would look to snap up the 21-year-old, saying: “If there is an opportunity to take him, I’d probably do it.”
Arsene Wenger may well be ready to consider permanent offers for Frimpong given that the young tough tackler is yet to make an impact in the Gunners first team.
Moves to capture Russian winger Arshavin may be even easier to complete given that the 31 year old will be out of contract in the summer and therefore available on a free transfer after a disappointing spell at the Emirates Stadium.
Arshavin’s agent Dmitri Seluk recently dropped a hint that his client is considering Fulham, admitting: “Top English clubs won’t take him.”
“And considering the fact that he doesn’t want to leave London, the next club for Arshavin will be Fulham or something like that.”
The former Zenit St Petersburg has steadfastly failed to live up to the £15m fee Wenger paid for his services back in January 2009, only showing fleeting glimpses of the form that brought him to the fore during Euro 2008.
