Man United captain Nemanja Vidic believes that Cristiano Ronaldo could make a permanent Old Trafford return according to The Sun.
The Serbian international spoke about the possibility of his side re-signing the Real Madrid goal machine ahead of tonight’s massive encounter with the Spanish giants.
Vidic is quoted as saying;
“It would be a big ask for many reasons. I would love to see Cristiano here. I could see it.”
“He is a United supporter. Even though he left he still follows United and still misses the club and the environment here.”
Speculation of a move to re-join Man United has been rife in recent weeks and this may well have been sparked by comments made by Cristiano Ronaldo about the possibility he would see out his current Real Madrid deal and then leave.
This in turn has led to some sources believing the Spanish side are not happy about the attacker’s unwillingness to sign a new contract and their reluctance to see Ronaldo run down his contract leading to the possibility they could lose a £80m player on a free transfer in the summer of 2015.
