French club ready to make big money bid for Tottenham star.
Big spending Paris St. Germain are set to make a huge summer bid for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale according to The Daily Mail.
The Welsh winger has been in scintillating form this season as he has guided his Tottenham side to a lofty third-placed position in the Premier League.
Bale’s dazzling performances have increased speculation that the player could be set for a summer move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid but it now appears that PSG are ready to join the race for the player’s signature.
The Ligue 1 side are owned by a Qatari consortium providing them with significant financial backing that has seen the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore and Thiago Silva arrive in the French capital.
Tottenham’s former Director of Football, Damien Comolli, was at the club when they brought Bale in from Southampton and he believes PSG are set to make a bid for the winger.
‘When you leave Tottenham and you are a player like Bale, there are only three or four clubs you can go to’ said Comolli.
‘If PSG know the player is on the market – and there is a possibility – it wouldn’t surprise me if they did everything in their power to get him.’
