The ten best players of the current campaign. Who gets your vote?

In alphabetical order here are our ten nominees for the Premier League player of the season award.

Leighton Baines

Leighton Baines (Everton)

The Toffess full-back makes it into our eleven due to his high level of consistency. The 28 year old is comfortable in defence and a hugely important part of the Everton attack.

The set-piece specialist is always on hand to provide assists and has also netted seven goals to boot. The Everton man is now running Ashley Cole very close for the England starting spot, and deservedly so.

Bale West Ham

Gareth Bale (Tottenham)

Could well be one of the leaders in our poll the Tottenham man has been in magical form this term. The 23 year old is having his most effective season since his move to White Hart Lane.

The White Hart Lane wide-man has 21 goals to his name in all competition and Andre Villas-Boas must fear that one of Europe’s ‘Elite’ will nab Bale this summer, though clearly if Tottenham secure a Champions League berth there is less reason for such a move to take place.
