Emirates Stadium side given hope in push for in-form forward.

Arsenal target Burak Yilmaz is open to a move to join the North London club but Arsene Wenger will have to have Champions League football to offer the Galatasaray forward to have any chance of signing the in-form striker.

The Daily Express believes that Arsenal may however be deterred by the valuation placed on the 27 year old by his Turkish employers, who’s president claims the player is worth as much as £35m.

Yilmaz has opened the door to a move to the Emirates Stadium by stating: “If I were to move abroad I would want to move to a big club. I would accept a transfer to Arsenal.”

Arsene Wenger may well feel the need to beef up an attack that relies heavily on summer signing Olivier Giroud, who has had an up and down first season in the English top tier.

Yilmaz has been in fine form since his move from Trabzonspor to Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals in all competitions this season but perhaps most impressively is the current joint top scorer in the Champions League having netted eight thus far to help his Istanbul based side into the quarter-finals of the competition.

Arsenal are unlikely to fork out as much as £35m move Yilmaz but then Galatasaray may well accept less if the player himself demands a move to the Premier League side this summer.
