Baggies take on Vicente Calderon side in pursuit of Sporting Lisbon front-man.

Check in to Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion are keeping tabs on Sporting Lisbon striker Andre Carillo, according to Peruvian site Depor.pe.

The 21-year-old winger, who can also play up front, has impressed with the Portuguese giants and has caught the attention of Albion boss Steve Clarke as he prepares to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

So far this season, the Peruvian has bagged three goals in 23 appearances and even managed to grab his first international goal in a friendly against Peru in August.

If Albion want to land the player, though, they’ll face stiff competition from Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid, who are also preparing to find a new striker in case star player Falcao moves on at the end of the season.

Albe to play anywhere across the attack, Castillo is believed to have a price tag of around £10 million, and as he is under contract in Lisbon until 2016 the club are in no rush to sell.

In 2010, back in his native Peru, he won the Torneo Descentralizado (Peruvian Segunda Division) breakthrough player award, and then a year later he was a part of the bronze medal winning Peru team of that year’s Copa America despite only making his debut a few months previously.
