Check in to Chelsea vs West Ham United

Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao is set for a massive pay-day should he complete a summer transfer away from the La Liga side according to Goal.com.

The Colombian striker is currently coveted by a host of top European sides after a putting in some impressive performances this season in the Spanish top flight.

The likes of Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with the player’s signature and it seems certain that a summer bidding war will erupt as clubs look to seal the player’s signature.

Falcao is all too aware of the reported interest and is hoping the competition for his services will allow him to ask for a big wage increase.

The player is currently represented by Portuguese super-agent, Jorge Mendes, who orchestrated Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from Manchester United to Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho is also believed o employ his compatriot’s services.

Falcao and Mendes believe that a wage deal in the region of £250,000 a week is reasonable after holding informal talks with wealthy French side PSG.

The Ligue 1 team are currently owned by the Qatari Royal family and are unlikely to see those demands as an obstacle but it remains to be seen whether the other interested clubs will be willing to match that offer.
