However, David Moyes faces stiff competition if he is to land his man as the likes of cross city rivals Liverpool are supposedly keen too. Several Italian club are also thought to be keeping tabs on him with Lazio having made enquiries and Fiorentina interested in as they prepare themselves for incoming bids for Stevan Jovetic.

Currently with nine goals in 22 appearances for CSKA this season, he would represent a real coup for David Moyes’ men, especially after recent speculation about the manager’s future ambitions have come into question.
