The French born forward is reportedly losing patience at his bit-part role at the Bernabeu and will look to leave the Spanish giants in the summer and Andre Villas-Boas leads the chase for the 25 year old.
Tottenham could well do with a striking addition as Emmanuel Abebayor has been abysmal since his temporary move to White Hart Lane became a permanent one. Luckily for Villas-Boas he has seen Jermain Defoe put in a solid shift up front and Gareth Bale has provided good goal-scoring support from out wide.
Higuain has struggled to retain a spot in the Real Madrid first team under Jose Mourinho and has started less than half of the club’s La Liga fixtures this season but does still have ten goals to his name in all competitions.
The former River Plate man has scored a total of 113 goals in 249 appearances for Real Madrid since his move to Spain in January 2007.
