The Scotsman has been in charge of Everton for eleven years but his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
A number of top European sides are reportedly monitoring the availability of Moyes. He has won widespread praise for the way he has transformed Everton into a side that consistently finishes in the top half of the Premier League.
Moyes has won further credibility for his achievements due to the financial constraints that have been placed upon him.
Similarly, Roberto Martinez enjoys a good reputation for the way he has kept Wigan in the Premier League over the last few seasons.
The Spaniard was strongly linked with the Liverpool post last year before the club eventually appointed former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers.
Should Martinez join Everton, the club’s fans could expect a departure from the team’s current style of play.
Martinez prefers his teams to play a fluid, passing style of football while Moyes has typically set Everton up to play a more direct game.
