Bundesliga side preparing approach for Kevin De Bruyne.
Bayer Leverkusen are set to make a summer bid for Chelsea’s Kevin De Bruyne according to talkSport.
The London club brought De Bruyne to the club in January of last year as they looked to ensure they landed the best young Belgian talent.
De Bruyne arrived at the club to make up a growing number of Belgian contingents in the Stamford Bridge dressing room including the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Thibault Courtois.
But De Bruyne is yet to make an appearance for the Blues and is currently out on a season long loan deal at Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
The youngster has put in a number of impressive performances, leading to him attracting the interest of a number of top German sides.
Bayer Leverkusen are thought to be considering an approach to Chelsea for the player’s services after De Bruyne netted six goals in 26 games from the Werder Bremen midfield.
Chelsea have told Leverkusen they will have to wait untilt the end of the season before any decision is made, as they want to allow the club’s new manager to run the rule over the current crop of players before sanctioning any exits.
Reports are suggesting that De Bruyne could be used a potential makeweight in a deal to bring forward Andre Schurrle to Stamford Bridge.
