Juventus have denied that their boss, Antonio Conte, could be set to make a move to Chelsea according to talkSport.

The London club are currently seeking to draw up a potential short list of candidates to take over the helm at the end of the season.

The Blues are currently being managed by Rafa Benitez, but his tenure has proved to be unpopular with the club’s fans and it has become clear that his temporary contract with the club will not be extended.

A number of high profile managers have been linked with the club in recent months. Former Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has refused to rule out a return to Stamford Bridge while the fans are keen to see the re-appointment of former boss Jose Mourinho, who is set to leave his current club Real Madrid at the end of the season.

But Juventus have moved to pour cold water on suggestions that Conte was in contention for the post.

‘I understand that not everyone is like Sir Alex Ferguson, but I am convinced that we will have him with us for many more years’, said Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta.

Conte has won plaudits from across Europe this season after some impressive displays from the Old Lady in the Champions League.

Juventus are also currently top of Serie A and look set to secure a second consecutive title.
