Turin side re-ignite interest in Anfield marksman.
Serie A title holders Juventus are reportedly already in talks with agents representing Liverpool striker Luis suarez ahead of a summer move for the Uruguayan.
The Daily Mail claim that the Turin side are ready to make a €30m (£25.6m) for the Premier League’s top scorer, an offer the Merseyside club are sure to turn down flat.
This source believes that Juve boss Antonio Conte is looking to pair Suarez with Fernando Llorente, with the Spaniard already signed up to join the Italian side in the summer on a free transfer.
Brendan Rodgers would certainly not wish to sell his most effective attacking option and any potential sale would only be a possibility if Suarez specifically stated his intention to leave. With a Champions League berth looking an increasingly unlikely reward for this season’s efforts perhaps the Ajax man would be tempted to push for an exit.
Suarez has scored 29 goals in all competitions thus far this season and has already formed a solid partnership with January signing Daniel Sturridge but Liverpool may struggle to keep hold of the lethal finisher but they would surely never even consider offers of under £40m for the player in today’s transfer market.
Juventus could well do with alternative attacking options, for instance last season when they swept to an unbeaten Serie A title success their top scorer, Alessandro Matri, could only notch up ten goals.
