Anfield club determined to keep star striker.
Liverpool have insisted that striker Luis Suarez will stay at the club this summer according to BBC Sport.
The Uruguayan has been in scintillating form this season for the Anfield club and currently tops the Premier League’s top scorers chart with 22 goals.
But reports in recent weeks have suggested the striker is prepared to consider his options should a club playing in the Champions League bid for his services.
A number of top European sides have been linked with his signature, including the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Bayern are set to welcome former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to the club this summer and the Spaniard is known to be an admirer of the player.
The German giants are set to provide Guardiola with a significant transfer chest as the club look to win the Champions League and it has been suggested that Suarez has been identified as the club’s number one summer target.
But Liverpool Managing Director, Ian Ayre, insists the player will be playing for Liverpool next season.
Suarez signed a deal for the club just last summer, and Ayre stated that he was 100% confident the Uruguayan would continue plying his trade on Merseyside next season.
