Real Madrid have set their sights on Man City midfielder Yaya Toure according to Italian source TuttoMercato.

It appears that the Bernabeu side are willing to make such a move for the 29 year old despite the fact that he spent three years with arch rivals Barcelona prior to his move to the Etihad Stadim.

Toure has demanded a new contract and has stated his intention to leave Man City if they do not offer him an extension on his current deal which comes to an end in the summer of 2015.

Russian Premier League side Anzhi and Ligue 1 table toppers PSG are also said to be interested in the rangy midfielder, who was a pivotal member of Roberto Mancini’s Premier League title winning side last term.

Toure’s agent claims that his client feels he is unappreciated at Man City and has become unhappy following the lengthy contractual negotiations he has been locked in with the club for as long as six months.

Man City are likely to demand a big fee from any interested parties as clearly they are not in any financial hardship and can afford to not bend to any offer they feel is not worthy of a player of Yaya Toure’s obvious ability.

The Ivory Coast international has made 123 appearances for Man City, scoring 26 goals in the process.
