German club hoping to tempt striker with big money offer.
Bayern Munich are desperate to land Liverpool striker Luis Suarez according to The Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan international recently admitted he could be tempted by an offer from a club playing in the Champions League, although this was rejected by Liverpool as a ‘mistranslation’.
Bayern are set to appoint former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola as manager this summer and are ready to hand him a huge transfer kitty as they seek to build a team capable of challenging with the European elite for the Champions League trophy.
Guardiola is thought to be a big fan of Suarez and has reportedly made the striker his number one summer transfer target.
Juventus are also rumoured to be interested in the player’s signature but it is thought the German giants are at the front of the queue on account of Suarez’s agent being Guardiola’s brother.
The Spanish boss is hoping to get his brother Pere to persuade Suarez his future lies at the Allianz Stadium.
While Liverpool are keen to hang on to the player, is thought a fee in the region of £40 million would be enough to tempt Liverpool into selling.
Suarez has been in great form this season and currently sits top of the Premier League’s top scorers chart.
