Check in to Everton vs Stoke City

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo has put a host of top Premier League sides on alert after expressing his determination to play in the Premier League according to The Liverpool Echo.

The Spanish striker has been in great form for his club this season, netting an impressive 20 goals in just 30 appearances.

The player was strongly linked with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton during the January transfer window, with a move to Spurs reportedly falling through as the bid was made too late for Sevilla to find a replacement.

A summer move now looks likely with all three clubs set to return for the player’s signature.

Clubs in Spain are set for a summer clear-out with clubs in the top two divisions currently holding bank debts worth around £3 billion.

EU officials in Brussels are demanding that the local authorities call in debts owed by the clubs in taxes and to refrain from keeping them afloat with taxpayer’s money.

A majority of top flight clubs in the Spanish league are likely to be forced into considering offers for their most valuable players this summer as they look to avoid liquidation.

Sevilla reportedly valued Negredo at £13 million in January but Premier League clubs may be able to negotiate a lower price with the Spanish club keen to make a quick sale.
