Blackpool Starlet Tom Ince Shuns Premier League Interest

Bloomfield Road youngster has Championship focus.

Check in to Blackpool vs Crystal Palace

Blackpool winger Thomas Ince has reported shunned interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, TalkSport understands.

The highly rated 21-year-old is being closely followed by a number of clubs, but he is refusing to comment on the speculation insisting that for the time being Blackpool is his sole focus.

It was thought that he would be heading to Liverpool in January but nothing materialised. He had begun his career on Merseyside but was let go and wound up in the seaside town where he has become an established member of the England under-21 squad.

However, it appears that a deal to take him to Brendan Rodgers’ side wasn’t as close as everyone thought.

“I don’t think any of the moves were close,” he said, “It’s great having that speculation and it’s very flattering. To have teams of that magnitude saying you’re a decent player, it gives me a smile and flatters me a lot.”

“For me though it’s about putting my faith in Blackpool because without that club, my team-mates and the fans I wouldn’t be Football League Young Player of the Year and the player I am now.”

Under the guidance of father, Paul, he has a manager at Blackpool who will genuinely have his best interests at heart. There is no doubt that he is set for bigger and brighter things in his career but for the time being he is happy to be sensible and stay at a club where his talents can flourish before making a big money move.
