Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he is unclear over whether or not he has a future at Stamford Bridge according to Sky Sports.

De Bruyne joined Chelsea from Belgian side Genk last summer but has yet to make an appearance for the Blues.

The Belgian is currently putting in some impressive performances in the Bundesliga as he enjoys a season-long loan spell at German side Werder Bremen.

That has prompted speculation that a number of German clubs could bid for the player’s services come the summer.

There have also been suggestions that Chelsea could use the player as a makeweight in a potential deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle.

But De Bruyne has insisted he is keen to play in the Premier League and hopes to break into the Chelsea first team.

The Belgian midfielder believes his performances at international level have shown he can compete on the highest stage.

De Bruyne has won ten caps for his national team since making his debut in 2010 and netted Belgium’s second goal last Friday as they went on to beat Macedonia 2-0 to leave them strongly placed for World Cup qualification.

Should De Bruyne return to Stamford Bridge, he could add to a growing contingent of Belgian players in the Stamford Bridge that includes the likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Thibault Courtois.
