Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has ruled out making a return to the Emirates Stadium according to talkSport.

The Mexican striker is currently plying his trade in Spain for Real Sociedad after failing to establish himself in Arsene Wenger’s first team during his time with Gunners.

The North London club decided to allow Vela to leave on a permanent deal after a number of seasons going out on loan but that looks to have been a poorly made decision as Vela has shone for his new club in the Spanish top flight.

Vela has already hit the back of the net on twelve occasions for Sociedad this season, prompting speculation that Arsenal may look to take advantage of a buy-back clause inserted into the deal as part of Vela’s move.

But Wenger’s hopes of a return to Vela look to have been dashed after the striker insisted he has no intention of returning to the Premier League.

Vela stated that he is happy with life at Sociedad and would be reluctant to return to Arsenal as although they gave him his first break in Europe, he does not feel he was given the opportunities he deserved during his time in the Premier League.
