Hugely talented German midfielder Mario Gotze has confirmed he would be interested in a move to Man United according to the Metro.

The 20 year old playmaker has admitted he that a move to Old Trafford would be an attractive option to consider whilst re-affirming his desire to remain at Borussia Dortmund in the immediate term.

Gotze also singled out Barcelona and Real Madrid as clubs he holds an interest in and there is no doubt that any member of Europe’s ‘Elite’ would jump at the chance of signing the young German international.

Despite still being two months shy of his 21st birthday the cultured attacking midfielder has racked up over 100 top tier club appearances and has helped Jurgen Klopp’s side to back to back Bundesliga titles. Gotze is now a mainstay of Joachim Low’s national team set-up and has 22 caps to his name.

Sir Alex Ferguson may well feel that his midfield could do with freshening up given that a number of those at his disposal; Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Anderson and Darren Fletcher are either over 30, off form or recovering from illness.

With Dortmund likely to see their Bundesliga crown taken by Bayern Munich there is perhaps a renewed hope that Gotze could be lured away from the club though any such deal would set back any prospective suitor a fair old whack.
