Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has spoken of his desperation to end his title pain according to ESPN.

The Dutch striker joined the club from Arsenal last summer having only won the FA Cup in 2005 with the Gunners.

Van Persie’s only other silverware came in the form of the 2002 UEFA Cup with Dutch side Feyenoord.

But the 29 year old looks set to end that drought with Manchester United looking certain to reclaim the Premier League title.

The club currently find themselves 15 points ahead of rivals Manchester City, and while there are still eight games remaining, no club has failed to seal the title after establishing such a large lead.

Van Persie also finds himself in with the possibility of an FA Cup medal with United set to face Chelsea in their quarter-final replay on Monday.

Van Persie’s goals have been a key factor in United’s surge to the top of the Premier League table.

Despite netting just once in his last ten games, the striker’s total for this season currently stands at 23.

Only Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has scored more goals this season and the pair are set to go head to head for the Player of the Year award.
