Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has admitted he is keen to see a return to the Premier League for Jose Mourinho according to talkSport.

The pair know each other well having worked together at Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

It has been reported that the relationship between the two had turned sour after AVB left the San Siro but the Spurs boss insists having Mourinho in the Premier League could only make it stronger.

Mourinho’s days at current club Real Madrid look numbered. The Portuguese boss has endured a difficult time with the club’s fans and players with senior players in the dressing room, thought to be Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, informing the club’s management that they will be handing in transfer requests should the Special One remain in charge at the beginning of next season.

That has sparked speculation that Mourinho could be on the verge of a return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are currently drawing up a short list of potential replacements for interim boss Rafa Benitez.

Mourinho is the overwhelming fans’ favourite for the job but it had been suggested that club owner Roman Abramovich was unsure whether the pair could maintain a working relationship after Mourinho left the club in acrimonious circumstances.

But reports in recent weeks have suggested that the pair held preliminary talks over a potential move that could pave the way for a summer return to the club for the Special One.
