Old Trafford side keen on FC Porto striker.

Man United are reportedly one of a host of sides taking a keen interest in powerful FC Porto forward Jackson Martinez according to talkSPORT.

The 26 year old Colombian has been an instant success since his summer move to the Estadio Dragao, netting 23 goals 22 matches to make him comfortably the top scorer in the Primeira Liga.

Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen on Martinez, perhaps with a view to the FC Porto man replacing Robert Lewandowski, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion.

Given the host of options Sir Alex Ferguson up front one would imagine a tangible interest in Martinez would only become relevant if he were to lose one of those forwards currently in his Old Trafford squad.

Javier Hernandez is perhaps the most likely to be considering a push to leave given his lack of first team action though Ferguson has stressed his desire to keep the Mexican in recent weeks, with Real Madrid said to be sniffing around the lethal finisher.
