Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou has admitted he could well leave the club this summer according to Sky Sports.

The centre-back has put in a number of impressive performances this season as his club have challenged Qatari-backed PSG for the Ligue 1 title.

But Marseille are currently suffering from severe financial pressures and will be looking to offload some of their stars this summer.

N’Koulou has been identified as a player that could bring in significant funds that would allow them to keep hold of other players within the squad.

A host of Premier League sides are thought to be monitoring the availability of N’Koulou. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are all thought to be ready to bid for the player should he become available.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in defensive reinforcements after seeing his backline commit a number of high profile errors this season.

Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in a new centre back as he prepares for life without Jamie Carragher, who is retiring at the end of the season, and the future of Martin Skrtel looking increasingly uncertain.

Andre Vilas-Boas is also keen to strengthen his squad in anticipation of playing in next season’s Champions League.
