Brazilian defender expresses hope to one day play for Catalan giants.
PSG defender Thiago Silva has expressed his desire to move to Barcelona according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Brazilian centre back is currently plying his trade for the Qatari-backed Ligue 1 side after a mega bucks move from AC Milan last summer.
Silva is highly regarded and is thought to be one of the best defenders currently playing in the game.
PSG recently faced off against Barcelona in their Champions League first leg clash, securing a 2-2 draw, and Silva revealed he hopes to one day pull on the shirt of his club’s opponents.
Silva revealed he dreamed of playing for Barcelona growing up as a child in Brazil and hopes to one day make a permanent visit to the Nou Camp.
The player was keen not to anger his current employers however and insisted he remains focused on the playing for PSG for the time being.
Barcelona are known to be in the market for a centre back as they prepare for life without ageing Spanish defender Carlos Puyol.
The centre-back has been a stalwart in the Barcelona team for over a decade and the club know he will be a tough act to replace.
The Catalan giants have been linked with a number of high profile defenders in recent months, including Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany.
