Bologna have warned clubs interested in Alessandro Diamanti they will have to pay at least £8 million for the player’s signature according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Italian striker has been in fine form for his club this season and has been attracting the attention of a number of Serie A’s top sides.

Inter Milan are thought to be keen to bring in the striker as they prepare for life without the ageing Antonio Cassano.

Napoli are also thought to be interest in Diamanti as they draw up a short list of potential replacements for Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a number of Europe’s top sides as is expected to leave in a £50 million deal come the end of the season.

Diamanti is thought to be enjoying life at Bologna and currently has a contract that is not set to expire until 2017.

But the forward is thought to be willing to consider an offer should one of the country’s top clubs make an approach for his services.

Diamanti has insisted he will remain in Italy though. The striker wants to stay in his homeland as he looks to book a place in the Italy squad for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
