Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has played down speculation linking him with a move away from the club according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Portuguese winger has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months with speculation continuing to swirl over the player’s Portuguese compatriot and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.

Ronaldo was reportedly touched by the welcome he received at Old Trafford during Real Madrid’s Champions League last sixteen clash with Manchester United.

It has been suggested that the reception had tempted the player to consider a return to United.

PSG have also been strongly linked with a move for the player. The French club are expected to be amongst the front runners to sign Jose Mourinho and it is thought the Special One would be looking to make a big money bid for Ronaldo should he arrive at the French capital.

But Ronaldo has moved to pour cold water on the speculation. The winger, widely regarded as the best player in the world alongside Barcelona’s Leo Messi, insisted his future was not important.

Ronaldo instead pointed to his commitment to helping Real Madrid win. The Spanish giants are still in with a chance of winning two trophies this season as they go up against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Cup final and hold a 3-0 first leg lead over Galatasaray in the Champions League quarter-finals.
