Manchester United midfielder Nani has denied speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Portuguese winger has been subject to constant speculation this season after finding himself slip down the Old Trafford pecking order.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has preferred to play a narrower formation this season as he likes to incorporate the likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa into the same starting eleven.

That has come at a cost to the club’s wingers who have all experienced diminished playing time this season.

Nani especially appears to have fallen out of favour with Ferguson reportedly becoming frustrated with the player’s inconsistent displays.

The last straw reportedly came during the club’s 1-0 FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Chelsea where Nani was largely anonymous.

The player has been linked with a move to Italy with the Milan giants AC and Inter reportedly ready to offer him an escape route.

But Nani has insisted he wishes to remain at Old Trafford while admitting he has endured a disappointing season.

The player went on to say that he now feels he is returning to form and hopes to make an improved contribution to the club next season.
