Speculation has intensified regarding the future of Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo after he was seen visiting London according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Argentine forward missed his club’s Rome derby with Lazio this weekend due to suspension.

Osvaldo sought to make the most of his time off by visiting London with his girlfriend, resurfacing rumours that the player is set to make a move to the English capital.

Roma look set to miss out on qualification for Europe this season and that could pave the way for Osvaldo to leave the club.

Chelsea are known to be keen on the player and are continuing to monitor his availability. The Stamford Bridge side are in the market for a new striker after the club finally ran out of patience with misfiring striker Fernando Torres.

The Spanish forward has failed to hit the back of the net on a regular basis since joining from Liverpool in a £50 million deal in January 2011. The club are now ready to cut their losses on the player and bring in a replacement. Chelsea may well decide to hold back on making a move until they have appointed a successor to Rafa Benitez.

That could allow Tottenham to steal a march on their rivals with Andre-Vilas Boas having made a new striker his top summer priority.
