Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has put a number of top clubs on alert after revealing he wants to continue managing according to The Daily Mail.

Heynckes was expected to retire from the game at the end of the current season. The German giants have already announced that former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola will take over the club at the end of the current campaign.

But Heynckes has now shocked the footballing world with a dramatic U-turn that could see the manager move to one of Europe’s top sides.

Heynckes has won many admirers for his work with Bayern this season. The club have been head and shoulders above the rest in the German Bundesliga and secured the title with six games to spare.

Bayern have also been impressive in the Champions League this season are one of the favourites to go on and lift the trophy.

Manchester City may be keen to offer Heynckes a new home after club officials have reportedly become disappointed with the performance of their current boss Roberto Mancini.

Chelsea are also known to be in the market for a replacement for interim boss Rafa Benitez and could move for the German manager should a deal for Jose Mourinho break down.

Heynckes is also being chased in Germany with Schalke reportedly ready to make him an offer.
