QPR’s Joey Barton has revealed that he has no intention of returning to the club according to The Daily Mail.

The midfielder is currently out on loan at French club Marseille after being told he was surplus to requirements by former QPR boss Mark Hughes last summer.

That came after Barton received a lengthy ban from the FA for lashing out at Manchester City players Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany in the final game of last season.

QPR decided the player was no longer worth the trouble and shipped him out on loan to the Ligue 1 side where Barton has seemingly found a home.

Barton insists he sees his future in Marseille and not with QPR, regardless of whether the London club avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Barton thanked Marseille for the faith that they have shown in him and stated that the club are now in his blood. The player insisted he was enjoying life in France and was ready to give his all for Marseille.

Barton went on to claim that a deal was already in place for him to stay at Marseille next season. He revealed that he thought it was unlikely QPR would want to take on his wages if they were playing in the Championship.
