Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo has increased speculation that he could be set for a summer move to Tottenham according to talkSport.

Osvaldo is thought to be ready to leave the Serie A side this summer as they club face up to the prospect of missing out on European football.

Osvaldo has enjoyed a fractious relationship with the club in recent months after a public fall out with former manager Zdenek Zeman and both club and player appear to see the merits of Osvaldo moving on.

Tottenham are thought to be ready to give the Italian striker a home. Spurs Andre Vilas-Boas is desperate for some attacking reinforcements after having to see out the current season with just two recognised strikers in the form of Jermain Defoe and Manu Adebayor.

The White Hart Lane club are reportedly set to offer Roma a fee in thought to be in the region of £8 million.

Roma played against Lazio in the Rome derby on Monday for which Osvaldo was unavailable for but instead of watching the game from the stands, the striker was seen around London with his girlfriend.

Spurs will face stiff competition for the player’s signature though with Juventus and Fiorentina keen to keep the striker in Italy.
