Vetern centre back believes club can hold on to Uruguayan striker this summer.

Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher has expressed his belief that Luis Suarez will remain at the club next season, according to Sky Sports.

The veteran centre-back is retiring at the end of this campaign but firmly believes Suarez will remain at Anfield after he has hung up his boots.

Suarez has been in fine form for Liverpool this season and currently sits top of the Premier League’s top goalscorers chart.

His performances have not gone unnoticed though with a number of top European sides reportedly preparing big money bids for the player this summer.

Suarez recently added to speculation he is set to quit the club when he was on international duty with Uruguaya.

Suarez hinted that he could be tempted to leave Anfield should a team playing Champions League football come in for his signature.

Bayern Munich have been strongly linked with Suarez with soon to be Bayern Manager Pep Guardiola the brother of the striker’s agent.

But Carragher believes Suarez is likely to stay at Anfield beyond the summer as he believes the striker is enjoying life at the club.

Suarez is set to go head to head with Robin Van Persie and Gareth Bale for the PFA Player of the Year award.
