Kevin Prince Boateng is committed to AC Milan after being linked with a move to Manchester City.AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has told Sky Sports that he is not interested in a transfer, after being linked with a move to Manchester City.
The Ghana international is planned as part of a summer shake-up at the Etihad Stadium, with Roberto Mancini keen on some new midfielders to take the pressure off Yaya Toure and David Silva.
The Italian boss has blamed a poor summer in the transfer market last year for his team’s inability to retain their Premier League crown this year, with their rivals Manchester United just two wins away from becoming champions for the 20th time.
But it looks like Mancini could be disappointed again, as Boateng has declared himself committed to the growing project at AC Milan.
“I am happy in Milan at the moment,” he said. “There is a great building starting here and to be honest I want to be part of it.”
The 26-year-old has played in England before, when as a youngster he failed to make a big impression for Tottenham. He later played in a more successful spell with Portsmouth, before being signed by the Serie A giants and establishing himself as a genuine talent.
These two clubs did business as recently as January, when Mario Balotelli moved to the San Siro from Manchester City.
