PSG have denied claims that were made yesterday suggesting that they had agreed a deal to sign Edinson Cavani this summer, Sky Sports reports.

Reports coming from the French capital this week had said that the club had agreed a fee and even personal terms with the big Uruguayan.

However, the club’s sporting director, Leonardo, was quick to deny the reports were true and even claimed that they weren’t even targeting the player at all.

“Now is not the time to talk about the market,” he said. “But I can say that Cavani is not our objective at this time. Do not expect an amazing market from us this year – we’ve already got them at this team.”

Leonardo also denied reports linking Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi away from the club.

Ibrahimovic had been thought to be a target for his former side Juventus whilst Lavezzi had been linked with a move to both AC and Inter Milan.

But Leonardo is confident that the pair will not be going anywhere the summer, stating they are not for sale.

“Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi will definitely stay here – 100 per cent.”

He also concluded by saying that the club weren’t looking to replace Carlo Ancelotti and that he hoped the Italian would be at the Parc des Princes next term.
