Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is clearly keen to complete a long awaited deal to welcome back former boss Jose Mourinho. The Russian billionaire will offer the Real Madrid boss a £100m kitty to invest in new additions he feels will help the Blues to improve their squad in a concerted push for major honours according to the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho dropped his biggest hint yet that he would be leaving the Bernabeu in his post match interview following Real Madrid’s Champions League exit stating;

When asked if he would be at Real Madrid next season the 50 year old Portuguese boss stated “Maybe not. I want to be where I love to be and where people love me.”

Abramovich will look to back the returning Mourinho with a hefty transfer war-chest and four targets are named by this source as being very high up on the Blues wish-list.

Top of the pile would appear to be Colombian striker Radamel Falcao, who Abramovich sees as the solution to his side’s lack of cutting edge up front.

The 27 year old Atletico Madrid man will cost at least £50m, and this source states that Fernando Torres is likely to be offloaded to cover at least a portion of that outlay.

This season Chelsea have been indebted to their attacking midfielders and wingers to come up with the goal-scoring goods, so much so that the Blues top three Premier League goal-scorers, Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, have all outscored Torres.

Chelsea also want to complete a long awaited deal to sign German forward Andre Schurrle, having failed in two previous bids for the Bayer Leverkusen man. That move appears to depend greatly on whether Belgian attacker Kevin de Bruyne is willing to leave the Stamford Bridge side as a makeweight with the youngster said to prefer a move to Borussia Dortmund.

Schurrle has had an excellent season and the adaptable attacker could be a very useful addition, and one that adheres to the club’s youthful transfer policy.

Chelsea are also interested in £20m rated Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini with the Belgian international hoping to leave Goodison Park for a side that can offer him Champions League football.

Abramovich is also keen on landing highly-rated Southampton defender Luke Shaw, with the left-back seen as a long term replacement for Ashley Cole.
