Cesc Fabregas Moves to Quash Talk of Arsenal Return

Former Gunner rules out return.

Check in to QPR vs Arsenal

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has denied talk of a return to former club Arsenal at the end of the season, talkSPORT reports.

The 25-year-old has struggled to live up to the £35 million tag that the Catalan club paid for his services in 2011 and rumours of a return to his former club in London have been doing the rounds.

However, it will come as sad news to Gunners fans to hear that Fabregas moved to deny that there was any truth in the rumour.

“I do not know what is being said and even what is written. I can only say that I alone know my own future,” he told Spanish news service Cadena Cope.

There is no doubt that the Spaniard would be welcome back at The Emirates, but questions had arose concerning how he would fit into the current side, but that appears to be an empty question now.

Fabregas is currently on course to gain his first La Liga title this season having scored 10 goals in 28 games but he has not featured as much as he would have liked. He missed out of the first leg of Barcelona’s first leg defeat to Bayern Munich last week, and though he featured last night he wasn’t able to prevent the side from going out of the competition during a 3-0 defeat.
