PSG are hoping to get the jump on Manchester City for Malaga ace Isco this summer, according to The Express.

The 21-year-old has been a long standing target of Roberto Mancini’s men as well as being linked with Chelsea, who’s interest now appears to have cooled following the two clubs agreeing a player development deal together,  but it is the Ligue 1 big spenders who are thought to be ready to push ahead with a deal to secure his future.

The French giants sent scouts to watch him in Malaga’s 2-1 victory over Getafe last weekend in a bid to make a final decision over whether to push ahead.

Isco is valued at £29.6 million and the Spanish side won’t accept a penny less as they continue to battle ongoing financial difficulties and he is seen as their most prized asset. The fee can be easily matched by either PSG or City so it really is a question over who acts the fastest.

However, there is a factor that may swing the deal back in City’s favour as Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini is a reported target to take over at The Etihad and if he does take over then the Premier League side will have a powerful negotiating tool at their disposal.
