Barcelona have set their sights on a star studded trio as Tito Vilanova looks to strengthen his squad this summer. Sport24 believe among the Catalan side’s targets is Man United keeper David de Gea.

Despite wrestling the La Liga crown back from Real Madrid Vilanova will still be looking to improve his squad, with particular attention being paid to a defence that shipped in seven goals in two legs against Bayern Munich in the recent Champions League semi-final.

With Victor Valdes publicly stating his intention to leave the Catalan club one can see why Vilanova would be looking for a new custodian but it seems highly unlikely that Sir Alex Ferguson would entertain offers for De Gea.

After a shaky start to his Man United career the young Spaniard has improved immeasurably this term and the Madrid born goalkeeper is unlikely to be looking to leave the Premier League title holders any time soon.

Barcelona have also set their sights on Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels who could perhaps be tempted by a move given the number of players who have left Jurgen Klopp’s side in recent seasons, and indeed may continue to do so this summer.

Mario Gotze has agreed a move to Bayern Munich and Robert Lewandowski may make a similar move and last summer the Bundesliga side lost Shinji Kagawa to Man United.

Barcelona are also keen on Malaga starlet Isco, who has had an excellent campaign this term, netting 11 goals in all competitions and helping his side through to the Champions League quarter-finals in their maiden season in the competition.
