Bayern Munich’s new manager Pep Guardiola will make a move for Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny when he takes over in the summer, according to the Daily Express.

The French centre-back has been an impressive performer for the Gunners since joining from Lorient in 2010, but has been unfortunate to find himself in and out of the team this season.

After an impressive defensive display against Barcelona a couple of seasons ago, he has stayed in the mind of Guardiola, who hopes to bring the 27-year-old to the Allianz Arena as part of a summer spending spree at his new club.

Arsenal will be hoping to keep the Frenchman, as they already face the prospect of losing other key members of their back four, with PSG target Bacary Sagna stalling on a new contract with the club, and captain Thomas Vermaelen unsettled after being dropped to the bench for poor form.

However, with Bayern in such fantastic form this season, a big move such as this would be hard to turn down for Koscielny, after Arsenal continue to struggle to win silverware.

Arsenal have been linked with other centre-backs in case some of their players leave, such as Swansea City’s Ashley Williams and Valencia’s Adil Rami.
