Swansea City Target QPR Attacker Junior Hoilett

Swans could move for former Blackburn star.

Swansea City have been linked with a raid on relegated QPR with a move for winger Junior Hoilett in the Sun.

The former Blackburn star, 22, joined Rangers last summer after Rovers were relegated. After a second successive season of dropping out of the Premier League, the Canadian is on the lookout for a new club once again.

The winger dazzled for Blackburn last season as they went down, earning himself links to bigger clubs such as Arsenal, but he has failed to reproduce his form under Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road.

However, Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has identified Hoilett as a skillful player who could fit in well with the Welsh side’s attacking style of play. Failing that, they have also been linked with re-signing former winger Scott Sinclair, who has had a disastrous time since leaving the club for Manchester City last summer.

Hoilett is one of many QPR players who could leave the Londoners following their relegation. Having signed a number of big names on big-money contracts, the club’s relegation leaves them with a struggle to keep their star players. Esteban Granero has been linked with Fiorentina, while Loic Remy seems likely to join Arsenal.
