Arsenal and Liverpool will face competition for Galatasaray striker.

Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool will have to fight off competition from Atletico Madrid and Napoli as well as each other to land Galatasaray goal machine Burak Yilmaz.

The Daily Express claims that the Turkish club will receive a flood of offers for their star striker this summer, with Manchester United also previously linked.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both short of options upfront, with Olivier Giroud and Luis Suarez their only recognised strikers, respectively, while the likes of Theo Walcott and Daniel Sturridge have played there but are better used as wingers.

£15million might be enough to land the Turkish striker, who has caught the eye with 28 goals in all competitions this season, including an impressive tally of 8 in the Champions League.

Napoli and Atletico Madrid both need a striker this summer, with the very real possibility that each will lose their star strikers – Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao – to bigger clubs.

Meanwhile, United could turn to Yilmaz if they miss out on other targets, such as Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski and Juventus’ Mirko Vucinic.

Galatasaray themselves have been linked with some big names in the transfer market, such as Chelsea’s John Terry and Fulham’s Dimitar Berbatov.
