Gareth Bale is reportedly ready to commit his future to Tottenham by signing a new four year deal worth £130k a week according to the Metro.
The 23 year old winger has been linked with a move away from his North London club for some months now, with Real Madrid said to be the favourite in the race to sign the Welsh international. However by all accounts the former Southampton man is happy to stay at the club and if a top four finish is secured the chances of a Spurs exit diminish greatly.
Bale became the first Tottenham player in almost 20 years to reach 20 league goals in a season when he scored a dramatic winner against his former side on the weekend.
Gareth Bale was named the PFA player and young player of the year and followed up that triumph by winner the Football writer’s award as well.
The new contract offer will run until 2018 and sees the attacker’s salary increase dramatically from his current £60k a week deal.
